First off I am so sorry that I've been a horrible blogger. I am also sorry I haven't been commenting as much. Its just been a crazy busy mess lately plus still have internet problem. I promise I'll be a better blogger friend to you all and if i have to get on my iphone to comment. I shall :]


It is almost the beginning of the end. I can't believe it. Can you guys? It kind of breaks my heart that within in a year it will all be over. :'[ I plan on having my own little harry potter party this fall. I think it would be a nice start for the season. Also, I am going as Princess Jasmine and Hermione for halloween. Should be fun! :]

Anyone else excited for Harry Potter?
I honestly just tried to write a list out of my favorite books in order but I can't! All of them just built up into a great collection. Something i want to share with my kids also. Ironically as i type this i am wearing my Gryffindor shirt. ;]



It hasn't even been six months since I reallly started to sew ( i did mess around when i was like 12).  I can't believe how much I have improved since then.  I am so blessed to have gained this skill and also for having a great bf who taught me the ropes. I also am so blessed that i have all of you amazing people who actually read this silly blog. All of your wonderful and sweet comments has given me the drive to start sewing more and more. Fall is approaching and I am excited to introduce my fall line to you all when it is time. I love you guys and I appreciate every comment you have left me. Thank you for letting my blog blossom a little bit. Even though i only have 27 followers I thought i wouldn't even make it to ten. It'd mean the world to me if you spread the word about my blog. In return i will introduce a new giveaway once i hit 50 followers. I promise an amazing dress or shirt or just something really really cute. dress day 2

oh my goodness i spent so much money today! after work i ended up going to the mall with my close friend kate, my sister and my boy. i bought the most lovely peach colored,strapless, sweetheart neckline dress. i loveee it! i also got a super cute floral romper and a black/grey tube scarf. Okay enough about my shopping. Sorry shopping is my ultimate happiness.

This would be my dress for day 2. I went with a more simple look today. I like how this dress fits and i love the floral! Also, my earrings were the best part though. They are stunning.

I want to touch base on a few things I'd like to talk about. So there is this wonderful, amazing band i love! I think some of you may appreciate them as well. They are called Au Revoir Simone. They are lovely. All girl band, who play keyboards with catchy beats and lyrics. Check them out! My favorite song is Sad Song . They are definitely a great band to look into!


So I want to have another giveaway. Like a beauty giveaway with some of my favorite products or something. But to do this I need more followers. So spread the word and I'll appreciate it dolls!

Last but not least. My friend Heather's husband just passed away yesterday. He was in Afghanistan and died serving our country. She is only 19 and they haven't been married even a year yet. Will you all just give her a quick prayer? Or maybe send loving thoughts her way. thank you!

the journey to find the perfect dress.

I've spent the whole day downtown and at mayfaire with my lovely boyfriend. trying to find the ultimate birthday dress. It was the worst thing ever. I found so many gorgeous items but as soon as i put it on..it was horrible. Nothing fit right! Smalls were too big and too long. I was getting so frustrated. We went to the last store of the day. First rack we went to was the sale rack. I saw a gorgeous black lace frock with a ribbon tie. Absolutely stunning. Well i got sidetracked by the sales girl who was very helpful and gave me ten million other dresses to try. The dress i grabbed first was pushed back for the last thing to try on. As soon as i put it on I had my fingers crossed and kept praying that it would fit. I was scared zipping it up that it would be too tight or too lose. As soon as i was done zipping it and tying the ribbon around my waist..I looked in the mirror. It was prefect. I came out of the dressing room telling my bf how perfect it was. It was only 31 dollars including tax. I won't be posting any picture of it till the big day. But I am thinking coral heels or maybe even yellow. The possibilities are endless. 24 more days and I'm 21!

this may be a drawn out post but there is a lot i need to add haha. today was a really goood day for a few reasons! i have an interview at some office as an assistant which would be great. I just need to dig around for a nice outfit to wear. I also received something lovely in the mail today. but more of that in a bit..

rainy days and friendship

its a gross, soggy day in wilmington. it doesn't help that i am still a bit under the weather. so you might be seeing two blog posts today. i can finally sew again! it doesn't hurt my arm as much as it did the past week. i am working on finishing a few projects..one of them a really pretty summer/pastel dress for my etsy shop. you should see it soon. I am also done with the give away. I just need to get my bf to upload the pictures on his laptop for me. I have decided that either every two weeks there will be a new giveaway or like once a month. I am not too sure yet. I am hoping you all will like the giveaway, i spent an afternoon working on it. There will be a post on it later..promise :].



I have a wonderful friend/sisterwho did a Spotlight piece about me on her blog. You all should check it out and follow her. She is planning on having giveaways often soon. today is supposed to be the day where i talk about a song that makes me cry or nearly. a song that makes me cry is Nineteen by Tegan and Sara It has a lot of meaning to me and it basically fits the summer i was nineteen. Down to the little details haha.

i love this version of the song too..you can feel the emotion as she is singing.
